When you try to build a cabinet around the wine cooler, it will not reach desired temperatures due to insufficient ventilation. The units measurements in the advertisement on Amazon were also incorrect. It said it was 13" deep and 22 inches wide. Actually, it is 13 inches wide and 22 inches deep. It looks nice in our kitchen and is very quiet. It can hold 44 degrees in the upper compartment and maintain a 10 degree difference between compartments, with the caveat that the thermoelectric cooling cannot attain a temperature that is more than 30 degrees below ambient. What that means is that this fridge is not for use in a garage that can get to 100F+, as the wines would then get above 70F (I haven't tested the heating capability, but assume it is much more capable).
