The color is a little more subtle, in a good way. It circulates a lot of air with no rocking, very minimal noise, and that's asking a lot for a Deep South summer. My concern when ordering it was that the lights might be too dim, but I realize that if I were using it outside at night, I wouldn't want terribly bright lights anyway, which has proven true. It's just right, and it fits my design aesthetic. Love those remotes! We put this one in our new kitchen and it's perfect. Very streamlined with nice lighting and very quiet. Our kitchen has a very high ceiling and the dining area is at the more closed in end so there was little to no air flow. I put this fan on the lowest speed and it makes a 10-15 degree difference. As I said before we have two of the remote control fans so be aware that unless you reprogram one of the controls they will both run on a single remote. For us this is just great because our other fan is outside so we can carry the remote outside and change the fan and light out there as needed. I definitely will buy a Minka-Aire fan when we need another. First, the wireless remotes are flimsy and work irregularly, at all - sometimes they control the units, sometimes they don't (I replaced one thinking the remote was defective, but the replacement performed just as poorly). The electrician came today (second electrician, third visit) to install the hard-wired remotes - one was defective, and won't operate the fans at all. The second one functioned, but failed a few minutes after the electrician left. Now I have to replace both of the remotes at my expense, as I am a few days beyond the warranty period (as I had to wait for electrician appointments to determine the problem).These are an expensive mess - I'll be writing the company again,...
