It is large and sturdy. It easily holds 2-3 loads of laundry, and keeps items separated and not touching so that they dry faster.The frame is tubular powder-coated steel (? aluminum?), about 1/2 inch in diameter and very sturdy. The "lines" are very heavy gauge wire perhaps 3 mm in diameter; about the gauge of a chain link fence or a bit heavier. Total, there are about 45 "lines" (they'll overlap a bit depending on how you set it up), each 22 in wide. A men's medium or large shirt will fit unfolded, but not an extra large. You can also dry huge things like comforters and sheets by leaving the "wings" flat and draping the items across the top. Pros: -Versatility!
